"Shoes?" exclaimed the fairy, "I've read Cinderella, you know. All you princesses ever do is lose your shoes! There's no point in giving you any!"
"And if Cinderella hadn't lost her shoe, she wouldn't have found her prince!" exclaimed Ella.
The fairy sighed and shot another blast of magic.
Ella felt herself grow taller and felt that there was now something around her feet. She lifted her dress and her legs and found that she was wearing a white pair of high heeled shoes.
"Oh thank you!" said Ella, "My parents won't let me wear high heels, either!"
"Now, before I go, is there anything else you want to bother me with?" asked the fairy.
"No. I just want to explore this forest," said Ella.
"Oh good," said the fairy, and she flew off.
